Wedon'tusuallyhire.

We are three people, and we plan to stay that way for as long as it makes sense. When we do open a role, you'll find it on this page. Not on a job board.

· What's open · today

One role. Quietly.

· Closed

No role open today.

We're three people by design. The next role lands here when one of three things is true: we land a stream of work that can't be done by three, we lose someone, or one of us starts a side project that needs a full-time owner. None of those is true right now.

  • 3 people
  • 1 practice
  • last hire: 2026 (the founding three)
· Open occasionally

Contractor pool

A short list of senior practitioners we trust enough to bring in for short stretches. Designers, engineers, AI specialists. We pay above market. We pay on time. Send us a piece of writing.

· Closed

Everything else

No marketing roles. No sales. No account managers. No junior roles — we don't yet have the structure to mentor well. If you don't see something above, it isn't here.

· The bar

What we look for.

Specific, not aspirational. If three of these don't describe you, we won't be a good fit.

  1. · 01 ·
    You read before you write.
You can show us a system you understood before you changed it. We will ask about the parts you decided not to touch.
  2. · 02 ·
    You have shipped something end-to-end.
A real system you took from scope to handover. Not a feature inside something larger.
  3. · 03 ·
You write in plain English (or plain Arabic).
You can describe a sharded database to a non-technical executive and have them ask the right next question. Bring a sample of your writing.
  4. · 04 ·
    You sign your work.
You like that we sign every deploy. You think tools should leave a fingerprint.
  5. · 05 ·
    You can say no.
To a client, to a teammate, to yourself. Quietly. The first time.
· What it's like

The rhythm.

Not for everyone. We're trying to be specific so you can rule yourself in or out fast.

01

The week

Two days deep on code or design, two days on documents, one day reading. Brief standup on Sunday only. No Slack on weekends.

02

The work

One client at a time. The full length of an engagement. You sign the same deploys we do.

03

The pay

Above-market for Dubai, fair benchmarked against London/Berlin remote. Specific range disclosed in the role conversation, not on the website. Profit share after year two.

04

The growth

No ladder. We assume you came in senior. You leave better at reading systems and writing about them.

05

The travel

Kickoff and cutover, usually. Two trips a year, four nights each. Studio in Dubai if you want to be there.

06

The leave

Generous and enforced. Minimum four weeks. Ramadan schedule adjusted for those observing.

· What we don't offer

We are upfront about what isn't here.

× Career laddering

You came in senior. You will leave senior. We have no titles to award.

× Hot startup energy

No pitch deck. No hockey stick. No all-hands. We will not ask you to "win the week."

× Pets-in-the-office vibes

Studio is quiet. We work in headphones. Conversations happen in writing first.

× Equity that means much

We're a consulting practice. Profit share is meaningful but bounded — we're not Stripe.

× A wide product surface

You'll spend months inside one client's system. If that feels narrow, this is the wrong room.

× Mentorship from above

There is no above. There is alongside. We will read your PRs; we will not coach your career.

· How to apply

One email. Three things.

  1. · 01 ·

    A field note you wrote

A piece of technical writing — public or private — that shows how you think. One page is enough. Ten is too many.

  2. · 02 ·

    A system you read

Two paragraphs about a system you read before you changed it. What you found. What you decided not to touch.

  3. · 03 ·

    A question for us

One question about the practice that isn't answered on the site. The question tells us how you think more than the answers will.

Not

No résumés. No cover letters that begin with "I am writing to express my interest." No recruiter forwards. We will read what you wrote, not what was written about you.

· A few honest answers

FAQ.

  • Do you sponsor visas?
Yes, for the right person. We have done it before. We will be slow and we will tell you the truth about timelines. UAE work visa process typically takes 4–8 weeks.
  • Is this fully remote?
Hybrid. We prefer one or two days in the Dubai studio per week. Fully remote for a clearly exceptional candidate.
  • Why are you hiring now?
We're not, currently. The Careers page exists so when we do open a role, candidates have a place to land.
  • Do you do junior roles?
No. Not because we have anything against junior engineers — we don't yet have the structure to mentor well. We send the people we like to other firms.
  • Can I work for you as a contractor?
Sometimes. See the "Contractor pool" card above. Send writing.
  • What happens after I send the email?
Ghaith reads it. If it lands, you'll get a reply within two business days asking for a 45-minute call. If it doesn't, you'll get a one-paragraph no.
